Today, i (we , chrisitne and I) spent the most amount of my own money I have ever spent in 1 shot. And it scared the bejesus out of me. But in a Good way.
i happily spend between $250k and $1 million dollars of other peoples money at work all the time and don't even bat an eyelid, but when the money is my own.
the attached image is our new house (well its a unit), but its ours, we wont have to move ot of it, we wont have a landlord put up the rent, decide to sell it on us, or move back into it. what we pay the bank on it will stay with us, its a foot in the door of sydney property, not stretching us, not by a long shot, but you have to start somewhere, and this will do us fine for a while.
its on level 5 of the building we currently rent in (we are on level 6). and it will be ours. cheap to move to, cosy, but with enough space to get away from each other. a huge bath, a secure car spot, heeps of storage in a cage/shed in the basement. lots of glass, views to the north and west, a nice place for a bbq, a useable kitchen. a nice place to be
Now, does anyone want to buy a car? dining table? 256mb ram chip? etc etc etc….
PS> pixar's “cars” is a wonderful movie, pushes “the increadables for there best so far” well worth the $6 tuesday night tickets we splurged on tonight,
its been such a scary day. 😛
